Virtu Partners was established in April 2011 after a successful management buyout (MBO) of KBC Securities Corporate Finance, which operated as part of the Belgian KBC Bancassurance Group. This core team has been expanded to provide greater technical knowledge and diversify experiences, networks and approaches. Our team now comprises experienced corporate finance professionals with over 50 years of cumulative deal-making. We have expertise in a wide variety of industries including pharma, healthcare, manufacturing, FMCG, financial services, utilities, IT/telecoms, retail/wholesale, and real estate. Consistent with the clear needs of our geographic focus we have recently invested in dedicated energy sector expertise for both traditional and "green" energy. We have considerable experience of working with PE funds and recognise that their approach and data needs are different to strategic investors.
We recognise that all industries have specific features however we believe that financial services has unique characteristics which need dedicated expertise. Consequently our financial services work is completed in a joint venture with London-based Grisons Peak (www.grisonspeak.com). This is a specialist investment bank who has exceptional knowledge of the sector and outstanding access to C-suite executives in banking, insurance and related sectors with a strategic focus on the Far East.
We have considerable experience at working in consortia with other investment banks, lawyers, technical advisors and due diligence providers where transactions require such. We are focussed on delivering high quality advisory services by deeply understanding our clients objectives, creating tailor-made solutions and applying global standards of professional excellence (evidenced by our winning the 2012 M+A Awards from Acquisitions International) in all aspects of documentation, structuring and delivery.
To ensure our status is aligned with clients and to enable a degree of risk sharing we maintain a substantially success-based income model so our own financial success is directly correlated with "deal-closure". We do however require a level of fixed-retainer as an indication of commitment to agreed objectives.
We are extremely proud of our deep and diverse networks throughout CEE and financial markets such as London. We have outstanding access to business leaders, politicians, influencers and decision-makers built over many years. These are a unique strength of Virtu Partners in delivering quick, accurate, practical advice.
